🎉We did it! We made it to 2022!🎉
Anyone else feel like it is an accomplishment? I actually had a great year in 2021. A lot of amazing things happened. Still, I had my challenges. And looking around and seeing much of what was happening in the world around me had me shaking my head, a lot!
But one thing I know for sure is that, ultimately, what happens on the outside is not nearly so influential as what is going on on the interior.
This process of awakening, and staying awake, is an INSIDE job!
That all said, external support is so important. I hope that part of your new year's planning, intentions, resolutions, guiding words, philosophy - whatever you call it - includes finding and connecting with your helpful people.
I'm talking about your family and friends, the ones you can always call on or talk about anything with. And your more objective support team. The ones you go to for fresh inspiration, to learn new things, and to help set you straight sometimes with their tough love.
I love my friends and get tons of great support from them. But I feel that having objective and professional support really helps to round out my helpful person team! And having that team is a huge part of my success - both in my business and my life. I can't imagine trying to do this all on my own!
So I want to call out a few of my helpful people - the ones that help me stay on my path, who encourage me the most, who hold space for me as I am, and who model for me what is possible.
First, my sweetheart, Kelly. He is my very best cheerer and always sees the good in me!
My friend and business buddy, Cindi. After over 10 years of meeting weekly to brainstorm, mastermind, listen to stories, and celebrate together, I rely on her to tell me like it is and to help me see my way through so much!
My teacher Chameli. I bow. So much has opened up for me due to being in her presence.
My business coach, Joanna. What a light! She shines so brightly and holds that light out so that others shine too. A great model!
My mentor, Annemiek. She guides with thoughtful integrity and has created a community that I adore being a part of.
And my students. I am forever grateful that you keep hanging out with me and I learn, everyday, how to be a better teacher and person by hanging out with you!
Of course, there are others, too many to list here. My deepest gratitude flies to them as well!
