This moves me…

I remember my very first yoga teacher saying once that she could see energy around bodies. I was enthralled! I couldn't imagine exactly what that meant at the time, but I was super curious.

I think it was just the nudge I needed to begin exploring outside everyday, mundane "reality", and the world of the seen as the only world that matters.

That exploration lead me to study yoga more deeply, including diving into the study of chakras and understanding, and feeling, the body as energy. It inspired me to become attuned in Reiki. And helped lead me to an enriching meditation practice.

It drew me to becoming a yoga teacher and, years later, a Certified Soul-based Coach.

I've experienced a lot in the subtle realms and it truly informs the way I teach yoga.

Practice with me is inspiring, sensitive, and deep.

At the same time, I have a strong background in science - anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology to bring to the way I teach and guide - both yoga poses and life enhancement!

It deeply moves me to be able to share all of that as a teacher by bringing it all together into a fully embodied practice.

But what do I mean by embodied?

We all have bodies, right?

And yoga is embodiment, right?

It should be.

But I see a lot of yoga practitioners who, even though they can do all the fancy poses, aren't really fully inhabiting, or honoring, their bodies.

I've seen people push and strain, over effort, try to make their bodies do things they aren't ready for, and even injure themselves - with yoga.

For me though, yoga is about self-love. And self care.

And being willing to accept oneself exactly as you are - even if you are on a journey of self development and "improvement".

Real YOGA encourages us to be authentic. And kind.

First of all to ourselves.

I was a guest on a podcast last year, called Things Women Don't Talk About, where I shared some perspectives on creating a better relationship with yourself through self-touch (it's much more than you think!) You can listen to that here.

Creating a loving and caring relationship with SELF has been the key for me in living the life I live and is at the foundation of everything I do!

I'd love for you to reply and let me know what you think. What might happen if you were fully embodied? What if you felt wholly and completely at home with yourself?

With Love,
